Earlier this week, TCU employees spent the day volunteering in communities across the state of Indiana and into southwestern Michigan during TCU’s Day of Giving. TCU previously hosted its Day of Giving corporate-wide days of service in 2018 and 2019. This was the credit union’s first year back to hosting this event after the pandemic.
Nearly 700 TCU employees gave back at more than 45 different non-profit locations. In support of this important day, TCU’s 50+ banking branches, corporate, and auxiliary offices were closed to serve others in a wide variety of community projects, schools, and charitable organizations.
“We're proud to impact the lives of people in the communities we serve,” said Jason Osterhage, president and CEO, TCU. “Our Day of Giving embodies our strong culture of community and allows our employees to come together and help make a difference.”
The annual Day of Giving is an extension of TCU’s ongoing effort to support the communities it serves. In 2021, TCU team members volunteered nearly 4,000 service hours with causes close to their hearts. Together TCU and the TCU Foundation also gave back more than $850,000 to nearly 200 community organizations.
