TCU has announced this year’s David R. Sage Award recipients. Awarded annually, this honor recognizes TCU employees who demonstrate the leadership and values of former board chairman David R. Sage, who served in TCU leadership for nearly four decades. Each year, TCU employees are recognized for leadership in three different categories: community service, leadership in the workplace, and leadership in core values.
The 2022 David R. Sage Award recipients, nominated by employees and selected by the executive team, are Carla Crittendon, director of compensation & benefits; Josh Lloyd, area manager, central Indiana; and Jeff Sobieralski, director of member financial wellness.
Leadership in Community Service – Carla Crittendon
Crittendon offers a tremendous amount of time and talent giving back to youth in our communities, as well as to TCU and its employees. When she’s not mentoring students in South Bend schools, she’s volunteering with the YWCA, Habitat for Humanity, and other grassroots organizations focused on improving the quality of life in her community. She currently serves as a Board Member at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Foundation and is a Community Relations Ambassador for both South Bend and the University of Notre Dame.
Leadership in the Workplace – Josh Lloyd
Lloyd began with TCU in June of 1996 as a Junior Co-Op. He fell in love with the credit union and stayed on in a work/study capacity during his senior year in high school; going to school part of the day then reporting to the Shadeland branch in Indianapolis as a teller. Lloyd is an exemplary leader not only within TCU, but also in the community. Josh leads with passion, drive, and desire to move TCU and the community forward. During his tenure, he has led several internal projects that have achieved resounding results.
Leadership in Core Values – Jeff Sobieralski
Sobieralski exemplifies servant leadership and truly demonstrates the core values of the credit union each day he is at TCU. He leads by example in every facet of his role; he is the first to volunteer, the first to jump in and help solve other employee issues, and he has taken every challenge presented to him in stride to analyze, strategize and accomplish his objectives. Furthermore, he has been instrumental as a champion for financial wellness and wellbeing, as well as assessing how TCU can better serve its members.
